Children Visiting
Children are welcome to visit but must be under adult supervision
at all time. Like all visitors, they must be quiet and are not
to enter other patients’ rooms.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted within certain areas of the hospital
grounds.
MEALS
Café Avanti
Café Avanti, located in the main foyer of the hospital, provides
light meals, snacks and refreshments for patients and visitors,
and serves the best coffee in Deakin! The Café also has
toiletries, newspapers and magazines for sale.
Cafe Avanti is open from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and
8am to 3pm on Saturdays.
Caffe Medici
Caffe Medici, located in the Plaza close to Capital Pathology
and the Clinical Services Building.
Caffe Medici has a relaxed cafe style, serving light lunches and the
finest coffee and quality foods.
Caffe Medici is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Cafeteria
Visitors may purchase a range of hot and cold meals from the Cafeteria.
Free tea and coffee is provided for visitors.
The Cafeteria is open from 12pm to 1.30pm for lunch and 5.15pm
to 6.15pm for dinner.
FLORIST
Although there is no on-site florist, the hospital has an
arrangement with a florist in a nearby suburb. Magnolia Flowers can be
